It was established on 25th January 1939 and Bihar governement tooh it's control on 1949 in the name of Government School of Art and Craft, it used to offer 5 year diploma programmes. But later in the year 1957 this college was shifted and today it has good reputation consisting good constructed building with hostel as well. The institute was renamed on 12th April 1977. This institution is for advanced training in visual arts. This college has been selected as a excellent college of Patna university. The overall refinement of the students is the main objective of this college and it's programme. It enforces to enhance not only the professional skills but also the individual skill of each student. It offers 4 year Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree course of Patna University. This college is having highly qualified and experienced faculty for the better future of students.
