Chinmaya Degree College, Haridwar was established in the year 1983. Formely, the college was affiliated to C.C.S University, Meerut. Later, it got affiliated to H.N.B Garhwal University. Unlike other colleges in Uttarakhand state, this is the only college which received financial support of UGC (University Grants Commission). The college has been recognized as a College with Potential for Excellence by UGC. The college has been accredited by NAAC and was awarded grade 'B'. The college offers under graduate and post graduate courses in science stream. The college also provides many facilities to its students like a well stocked library, fully furnished classrooms, canteen, laboratories eqquiped with modern instruments, NSS and many more.
