Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) conducts Planning and Architecture Common Entrance Test (PACET). On the basis of PACET merit, candidates are admitted into 5 year B.Arch., 4 year B.Planning and 6 year B.Arch. (PTDC) and other related courses. 6-Year Part Time Degree Course (PTDC) is for Diploma holders in Architecture with 2 years of experience as architectural assistant.

JNTU Hyderabad is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has been given the status of ‘A’ grade.

The candidate should be a citizen of India.He/she should be a native of Andhra Pradesh.The candidate should be at least 16 years of age as on the date of commencement of admission as announced by PACET committee.The candidates are required to pass 10+2 examination conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it, with at least 50% marks in total, or the candidates, who have passed three years of diploma (10+3) in Engineering / Architecture conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, are also eligible.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Planning and Architecture Common Entrance Test (JNTU PACET) is conducted every year in the month of July. The entrance examination is held only in English medium. For admission into architecture program, the entrance examination is divided into two parts- Part I tests the drawing aptitude of the candidate. Part II is Aesthetic Sensitivity Test, which examines the perception, awareness, creativity, and imagination of the candidate. Each test paper consists of 100 marks and is of two hours of duration. The second paper of the entrance examination for architecture program is computer based. The entrance examination meant for planning program consists of single test of two hours of duration, consisting questions on logical reasoning, scientific thinking and latest social, health and other issues concerning the country.
