National Association for Blind (NAB) in Bangalore was started in 1977 and has been imparting vocational training to visually challenged. From last several years they are imparting IT training to visually challenged from all over India. They have created a campaign that creates awareness for such trainings which are available free of cost at their Karnataka branch in Bangalore. This is really a great initiative taken by NAB for the visually challenged people.

There are plenty of Jobs available in the market which are paper based and cannot be handled by visually impaired but through  the awareness of Eco System most of the paper jobs have became online and with the help of assistive technology, it increased employment for visually challenged/ impaired people.

But funds to run such center is a challenge as government funding has reduced and funding agencies have also curtailed their funding. There is a need for financial aid and support to run projects for visually challenged. NAB is participating in a contest where it can win cash rewards for getting maximum number of supporters.
