Human resource management, as the name suggests helps to teach all about recruiting, training, team building, performance updates, employee policy, salary, benefits and increments, employee health and safety as well as staff amenities.
 
Human resource management focusses mainly on the worforce of an organization. It mainly deals with the problems of the people which are- training,recruiting,employing, workers benefits, compensation, development,safety and administration of the organization and performance management.

 

 HR management is also one of the lucrative field. The salary of the HR professionals differ from the other on the basis of the company type, profitability,economic activity. Freshers in this field can earn between Rs. 10,000- 30,000 per month specially in private companies or organizations. Well experienced HR administrators can earn 3 lacs  to 5 lacs per annum. Senior professionals who have better knowledge,experience and skill in this field can earn 50,000 - 60,000 per month.

HR is a key component of any organization. Though the human resources department is majorly known for conducting interviews, explaining company benefits and growth, managing employee relations, providing career development and succession plans, advice and helping hiring managers with performance and productivity expectations and advice on talent development and retention, the profession has a much larger role in business today. HR professionals have evolved from the low priority administrative role of the 20th century to active involvement in shaping corporate strategy. Senior management recognizes the significant contributions of HR to their organization’s bottom line and overall success. 1.  Workforce planning and Employment: This role includes implementing the organization’s HR strategy, recruitment strategy, applicant screening and interviews, assisting with background verifications and checks, handling transfers and terminations.
 
2.  HR-Development: This position is mainly training development and on-boarding or employee induction program. The work consists of identifying training needs, conduct training sessions, administering on-the-job training programs, evaluating training programs and keeping a records of employee participation in all training and development programs and align them to the development of talent and productivity.    
 
3.  Total Reward or Payroll: These positions are typically salary administration and compensation analysis. and benefits administrators. Responsibilities in compensation include analyzing job requirements and responsibility, writing job descriptions, performing job evaluations and job analysis, conducting and analyzing compensation data.
 
4.   Employee and Labor Relations: This role includes labor and employee relations specialist, plan personnel assistant or employee relations, handle employee queries and issues. In union-based environments, these positions involve creating union contracts, helping to negotiate bargaining agreements, resolving people issues, understand and interpreting union laws and advising supervisors on union contract interpretation. In non-union environments, HR professional perform general employee related functions and may also deal with employee involvement or engagement programs, employee grievances and other employee relations work.
 
5.   HRIS Specialist: In today’s technology driven world, HR function has also leveraged IT for efficient and accurate operations. Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is a HR analytical system which HR professionals use for day-to-day operations and strategy formulation. 
 
There are ample job opportunities in this field. Almost most of the companies require HR administrators in the matters related to hiring of workers,their training, salary administration,etc.

 For Bachlor courses like BBA-HR , one should pass class higher secondary examination(10+2) from any recognised board with 50% marks. The duration for this course is 3 years.

And for master degree courses ,Bachlor degree in any descipline be it B.Sc or B.Tech. bachelor degree is a must requirement for studying MBA. Thus Graduates only can pursue MBA if they qualify CAT/MAT/ XAT or ATMA . The duration for this course is 2 years.
