Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai, established in the year 1995 by MJF.Ln.Leo Muthu, Chairman of Sapthagiri Educational Trust, is non-profitable, and non-minority institution. The College is functioning at Sai Leo Nagar in a sprawling campus of 300 acres near the well-known fascinating Theme Park, "Kishkinta".
 
The college is set in rural, quiet and idyllic surroundings, the architecturally designed buildings with 25000 sq meters plinth area, the playgrounds and the green make it one of the most preferred destinations for the aspirants for Engineering studies.
 
Imbibed with the message of Shridi saibaba our chairman ventured into the realm of providing quality technical education to both urban and rural students from Tamilnadu as well as other states. Being a visionary, our chairman also has to his credit various other enterprises such as real estate, Industry and Educational Institutions.
 

Sri Sai Ram Institute Of Management and Computer Applications, also a unit of Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, was established in 1997 and it offers MBA and MCA programmes.He also ventured into the arena of medical sciences in Indian Medicine, by starting the medical college for Indian Medicine namely Siddha ,Ayurvedha &Homeopathy- all under one roof. He was also instrumental in starting “The Academy for Blind” and “Home for the aged” under the community service programmes of the Lions Club.
 
Today Sri Sai Ram Engineering College has developed into a reputed engineering Institution with ISO: 9001:2008 certifications, and this year, all our Engineering Courses got accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. Offering top quality technical education and moulding the younger generation to the society. Our Chairman has spared no efforts to induct dedicated faculty and provide adequate infrastructure facilities. The college is affiliated to Anna University and also approved by All India council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

Placement

Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of our institution. The institute has provided the complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes.

Reputed industrial houses across the country visit our institute regularly for the campus recruitment programmes. Our pioneering efforts have brone fruits in achieving academic-industrial rapport and we are proud that our students are absorbed by leading giants in the industrial firmament.  The placement cell coordinates quite well with the corporate sector and provides well-developed infrastructure to facilitate the campus selection programmes.

The cell is designed to function with a high degree of professionalism.  It provides almost instantaneous data to the corporate sector with regard to the candidates available for consideration towards placement in accordance with the preserved requirements. Indeed, we have been appreciated more often by the industrial houses for this special feature embedded in our work philosophy.
To coordinate the placement activities the college has a separate Placement cell Headed by Prof. Dr. L. Arunachalam. The placement cell manages its activities collectively by the students and all head of departments. The Staff coordinators  support in all the TCP Cell activities. The Placement cell has adopted an effective communication system to keep the students informed about potential job opportunities and guide from time to time.
