Placement

Placement Process About two months ahead of the placement process, companies are contacted. Companies provide necessary data through Job announcement form. The same is studied and a formal invitation is sent out by e-mail. A mutually convenient date and time for PPT & selection process is fixed. Visit is announced to the students along with data as given in Job announcement form. A week before company visit, Interested and eligible students apply on-line. Essential details of applicants are provided to the company. Company re-confirms travel plan a week before the allocated visit date. Accommodation for company is booked (on payment basis) at Guesthouse within campus. PPT hall is booked and a student volunteer is allocated to take care of logistics on campus. The selection list is announced as soon as company finalizes the same. Students sign offer letter and a copy is forwarded to the company. Training and Placement Cell at SGSITS believes in channelizing its vision and mission into a constructive frame work to emerge as a top ranking institute. At SGSITS we promise an atmosphere for all students to acquire the skills empower them to command respect and recognition in Industry and Community at large. The Training & Placement Cell at SGSITS is involved in two specific areas:- Placement of outgoing Graduates Industrial Practical Training of students during the four years B.E. degree Training and placement Cell arranges training for students in industries for 4 weeks at the end of 6th Semester. Students undergo two months training at various prestigious organizations. The students act as a channel of communication with the industries. To achieve its goal, the Training and Placement Cell work towards recognizing the core competencies of students. It works through a close knit organization and has a structure which conveys information to the students at the fastest possible rate. A common placement brochure for all branches is published. The Training & Placement Cell firmly believes in ‘Industry-Institute Interaction’. In order to accomplish ‘Industry-Institute Interaction’, it organizes technical talks and national seminars to provide a platform for the building engineers to interact with professionals from various industries. It encourages visits to the industries by the college students & arranges for industrial problems to be worked on by the students as part of their projects. It also takes suggestions from members of industry regarding designing/changing of curriculum. Placement Cell at SGSITS has constantly networking with business houses and industry to update the list of prospective employers and synchronize the training inputs to skill levels of students at the required level in Industry. Placement Cell facilitates the students in organizing campus placements. SGSITS has established brand equity in ‘Human Resource Market’& SGSITS graduates are going to enjoy good reputation among industry in the domestic as well as international market.
