Sasurie College of Engineering has come in to existence  in the year of 2001 and since then  it is registering the steady growth towards the excellence in all. The college is is heading towards offering one more under graduate course and one post graduate course in Engineering. The quality of education in the college has seen a steady improvement which is evident from our academic achievement.

Ponmudi Muthusamy Gounder Trust, Tirupur was founded in the memory of the birthplace and father of the founder Chairman Sri A.M.Kandaswami, Philanthropist and Industrialist with a resolve to serve the society by providing quality education. The philosophical attitude and benevolent activity of the founder and his family paved the way for creation of Nyruthi Matric Higher Secondary School at Tirupur during the year 1998, Sasurie College of Engineering in the year 2001 and Sasurie Academy of Engineering in the year 2007.

His generosity and the benevolence of his family members resulted in the formation of a number of prestigious educational institutions in Tamilnadu.

At Sasurie, we always believe in equipping our students with the right talent and personality to meet the industry requirements. Our focus on placement centers on creating new approaches to attract the best from the industry to our campus.
At Sasurie, Placement time is not a mere annual ritual; it is a time for showcasing the very best in our young engineers to the industrial and corporate world. The Department Placement & Career Development (DPCD) functions with the primary objective of placing students in top-notch companies even before they have completed their courses. The DPCD goes all out to train the students to meet the high industry expectations.
This department is run by a Placement Officer and a full time permanent coordinator. The office is also assisted by student coordinators who lead a team of placement representatives from various courses of studies. The placement office ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting company officials. The placement office, functions in a separate air conditioned block with all audio visual facilities for PPT, written test, group discussions and interviews and has rapidly progressed over the years in enhancing the placement potential effectively. It plays a vital role in counseling and guiding the students of the college for their successful career placement.

Objectives
The objectives of Placement & Training cell are multifold.
They include:
Developing the students’ Technical knowledge and soft skills to meet the corporate recruitment process

Grooming the students to acquire the best Interpersonal Skills, Self Presentation, Positive Attitude, Highest Aptitude, Career Planning and Goal Setting
Motivating the students to go for higher studies and guiding them to take competitive exams such as IES, CAT, GATE, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT and IELTS.
