The University Headquarter is located in this Campus, situated in Zunheboto District of Nagaland State about 20 Kms from Mokokchung Town. The Campus is located in a lush greenery area of 800 acres. The Campus offers all basic amenities complete with Shopping Complex, Gymnasium, Post Office, Bank with ATM to name a few. Efforts are being made to make Lumami Campus into a mini township. Daily transportation is provided between Mokokchung Town and Lumami Campus for Staff and Students. The Campus has adequate Men’s and Women’s Hostels for Students and Residential Quarters for both Teaching and Non-Teaching staff. Further, working Men’s and Women’s Hostels are provided for Non-Teaching Staff. The Campus is fully networked using optical fibre providing Internet access to the students at the Departments, Library, Computer Centre and Hostels through the 1 Gbps Internet Connectivity of National Knowledge Network. Nagaland University, Lumami has announced recruitment notification for teaching posts in various disciplines. Vacancies are available in the disciplines of Arts, Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Management, Engineering and Technology and several other vocational areas. Nagaland University is a Central University established under the Act of Parliament. Interested candidates can download application forms from the University website at www.nagauniv.org.in . Following are details of vacancies, subjects and application procedure: 1) Professors: 26 posts 2) Associate Professors: 24 posts 3) Assistant Professors: 27 posts Vacancies are available in the following subjects: Linguistics, Education, Commerce, Geology, History, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Political Science, Geography, Botany, Entomology, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Management, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Agricultural Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, English, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Chemistry, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, Electronics and Communication etc. Eligibility and Application Procedure: For Professor posts, applicants should have Ph.D. in the concerned or relevant subject along with minimum ten years of teaching or research experience. They should be eminent scholars in the chosen field of specialization. For Associate Professor posts, candidates need Ph.D. with good academic record along with a PG in the concerned subject or specialization. They need minimum 8 years teaching or research experience. For Assistant Professor posts, candidates should have Post Graduation with minimum 55 percent marks. NET or SLET of UGC or CSIR or State level institutions remain essential qualification for the post of Assistant Professors. Apart from these, all other guidelines of UGC also apply for faculty recruitment. There will be a relaxation of 5 percent marks for SC, ST and OBC candidates in respect of PG qualification. Short listed candidates will be called for interviews. Those candidates attending for interviews from outside Nagaland will be paid AC-III Tier Class.
