MBSCET has been designed as a multi disciplinary technical Institution enjoying a minority status. MBSCET is essentially engaged in promoting cultural, religious and moral values among the youth through education and social activities. As a prelude to achieving this aim, Mahant Manjit Singh Ji, who is the mentor and sheet anchor of this pious movement, has laid stress on high moral character and peservation of divine cultures that we have inherited.
The CAMPUS is located in a continuous stretch of land measuring at present about 28 acres but likely to be extended considerably at village BABLIANA, 2. km South West from NH-1A while proceeding from Jammu to Amritsar. It is about 5 km from Jammu City. The link road starts from opposite to DIGIANA INDUSTRIAL ESTATE and passes along a tributary canal through Jeewan Nagar and Ajit Nagar colonies. The area around the campus is picturesque, having vast lush green fields on three sides and a canal on the fourth side with Himalayan Hills making beautiful backdrop. With Jammu City located close by and the National Highway being just 2 km away, the BABLIANA environment presents a unique blend of urbanness and wilderness totally free from traffic jams and polluted air and yet so close to a bubbling city. It is an ideal location for a residential type Technical Institution.
The College has also raised during the preceding year independent block of Information Technology and Computer Engineering. Further the construction work on Faculty block providing space for all the major departments has also been completed. Four additional blocks have been added to the existing laboratories complex. Construction work on three storey Central Library Building and three storey Administrative block taken up in 2004 has been completed.
At present, MBSCET is the biggest Technical Institution in J&K State with an approved intake of 360 students in Six very important engineering disciplines and 60 students at P.G level in MCA and MBA each.
The College has ambitious programmes for adding other courses during subsequent years with prior approval of AICTE, J&K Government and Jammu University.
Right from the year of inception, students admitted in MBSCET have been setting very satisfactory records in academic achievements. Barring a few occasions, our students have been capturing majority of merit positions among the first three in Jammu University semester examination of Bachelor of Engineering courses.
