This college was established under the Act 22 of 1996 of Legislative assembly of Kerala. The objective of this Act is to establish in the state of Kerala a teaching, residential, and affiliated university to promote the higher education in this region. It is known for it's overall performance in educational system. It has well established infrastructure also including all the facilities for the bright and sunshine future of students. It is multi campus university spead over various locations.
It has excellent placement record as most of the students of this university got placed in well organizations according to their skills and qualification. It conducts various pre-placement activities for the students. The faculty helps to train students for their future placement.
