Jairam Educational Trust was founded by Thiru. J. Rajendra Prasad, in the year 1998, in loving memory of his father Thiru. S. Jairam Chettiar. The trust founded with the elevated aims and objectives of serving humanity through various facets such as Educational Institutions, Home for the Aged, working women Hostel, Hospital etc., The initial stage of the noble deed of Jairam Educational Trust is the establishment of Jairam Arts & Science College, inscribed with the motto "Right Knowledge Builds Modesty".
Jairam Arts & Science College is Hi-tech, Co-educational Institution, affiliated to the Periyar University, Salem.It holds itsexistence in the heart of the city (2 Km away from central Bus Stand and 4 Km from Salem Railway Junction). The serene atmosphere which holds best lawns dotted with colorful flowering shrubssoothe the eye and provide an ideal teaching - learning ambience.
