It was established in 1995 and is situated in Gomtinagar area of Lucknow.  Jaipuria was established fulfilling all the norms regarding academic, financial and social aspects set by concerned statutory bodies. The Institute conducts two year full-time PGDM, PGDM (Retail Management), PGDM (Financial Services) course and three year parttime PGDM course, equivalent to MBA and approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD .Dr. S.R. Musanna, a renowned teacher, poet and commentator is currently the Director at Jaipuria Lucknow. It has been ranked 16th by industry and 28th in placements amongst India's private b-schools by Business World best b-school survey in 2011. Recently career360.com ranked Jaipuria Institute of Management as 5th best private b-school in north India and 34th best b-school in India. It was indeed an arduous journey to excellence and it continues even till today. The Institute seeks to get better and 'add value' to itself each passing day. Jaipuria had a great placement season in 2011 with almost 100% students having being placed  in over 130 companies with good profile and packages.Banking and Financial services  dominated the placement 2011  by picking around 60% of the students’ strength. Jaipuria received an overwhelming response  from almost all verticals viz. Automobile, Advertisisng/Media, Banking, Consultancies, Consumer Durables, Retail, Manufacturing, Insurance, IT, KPO, Services and Telecom.
