Indian Institute of Technology, Patna (also known as IIT Patna or IITP), an new institute for education and research in science, engineering and technology located in Patna. This forms a part of the league along with 15 other IITs in India. It is the ninth member of the IIT fraternity. Indian Institute of Technology Patna has to bolster high-quality technical education and research. It is registered as a society on 25 July 2008, IIT Patna’s.
It has three schools – (1) School of Engineering that includes Departments namely, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering (2) School of Basic Sciences including Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics Departments and (3) School of Humanities consisting of Humanities & Social Science Department.
