The college, which was founded in 2011, aims to be one of the best engineering institutes in the country, Flora Institute of Technology is an co-coordinating member of the Institute of Sinhgad Technical Education Society, Pune (STES). It is an institute established to provide education for sustainable development. In Latin, FLORA means goddess of flowers. FIT, with its environment, has created an avenue for students to develop and display their technical skills. It is AICTE Approved, Affiliated to Pune University (Indian University). It was founded by Academic Experts, Prof. M. N. Navale, President of Sinhgad Institutes & Flora trust and Dr. Padalkar, Former Principal of Sinhgad College of Engineering. It has one of the excellent industry interface contributing to the production of employable and competent engineers with well defined accommodation facility and has a pool of highly qualified faculty. FIT students and STES students will undergo the same central recruitment procedure. Central recruitment procedure gives the companies an opportunity to select the best talent. FITians will get an opportunity to start their career from some pioneering organizations, who are associated to STES for campus recruitment procedure.
