It was established in 1972 by the dedicated efforts of Kalyan Charity Trust, Kalyan Education City which was founded in 1971. It is affiliated to University of Mumbai. It is a multifaculty institution of higher education and has more than 8500 students persuing studies in many under-graduate and post graduate courses. This college conducts congtact sessions for students persuing education through the institute of distance education, University of Mumbai. It's objective is to unlock the multiple facets of the students and to facilitate realization of students, potential for excellence. The college was accrediated by NAAC in 2002. It got the achievement of College with potential for excellence by UGC (2010). It got the BEST COLLEGE award by the University of Delhi. The college provides the best faculty which are highly qualified or experienced. It has good and well established infrastructure including various facilities which are necessary for the students. The college conducts various events for the students. It conducts many extra curricular activities for the over all development of students.

It has excellent placement record as last year from this college most of the students got placed in various reputated oraganizations according to their eligibility and skills. The college has its own placement cell which helps students in all possible way by conducting various interviews programs for them for their better placement in good companies. It conducts many training programs and workshops for final year students. They conducts many pre-placement activities to train the students for their future placement so that they can easily face their future interviews.
