Bhavan's New Science College, a Pioneer of Higher Education was established on 17th July 1956 by two great visionaries and dedicated educationsists, Late Sri C. Sudarshan and Late Sri G. S. Melkote under the management of Nutan Vidhya Samithi. A band of distinguished scholars, academicians and leaders of erstwhile Hyderabad state joined to provide them Science education for the needy students of this region at Narayanaguda in Hyderabad.
During the Silver jubilee Year in 1982, the College was taken over by the internationally renowned. Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan founded by Kanhaiyala Maneklal Munshi with the blessings of Mahathma Gandhi in 1938. Dr. Munshi, the founder of Bhartiya was a man of great ideas and courage. A philosopher in action and a multi-faceted personality. He said, "We ,the Bhavan's family, whether it is the smaller one or the larger one, must make every effort in restoring the values of Satyam, Shivam and Sundaram-Truth, Love and Beauty-in personal and collective life".The Bhavans Programmes are unique and conducted all through its centre in India and abroad.
Bhavan's New Science College is devoted for the spread of education with socio-ethical, cultural and philanthropic values. The management consists of dedicated personality with social and Philanthropic out look who constantly and guide the college in perusing its objectives.
Bhavan's New Science College, is ranked 6th in the "Top Ten" colleges in Science education in twin cities and in 46th position in the country as per survey conducted by AC Neilson ORG-MARG-2008.
