Arungarai Amman College of Arts and Science is the Edusat of Karur District for the rural youth. Not only for Karur District but also for other neighbouring district in generel. It has its origin from Arungarai Amman Educational Trust with the aim of rural area development in the 2001. This college is affliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli. This College is situated in a serence and tranquil campus of 27 acres and 25 kms from Karur - a global village for the aspiring students.

It has a strong endeavour to impart liberal education for the disadvantaged leaners. As the I.A.S Officer rightly said in the first convocation function, "This college has got admirable infrastructure and a dedicated team of staff to cater to the needs of the students community" The library, U.G & P.G. Separate computer labs and class rooms are fully equipped and constantly upgraded to cope with the latest developments.
